My partner and I have visited Halls Gap Zoo a few times now, and every visit has been amazing! This time we did the Cheetah Encounter and the Rhino Encounter, and both were absolutely incredible. Getting so close to the cheetahs to feed them was such a special experience, and being able to pat and feed the rhino was awesome too! The zookeepers were all so friendly, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable. You can tell they’re passionate about the animals and genuinely love what they do. The zoo itself is such a fun place to visit. Being able to hand-feed the deer and wallabies makes it such an interactive experience, and there are so many beautiful animals to see. It’s clear that all of the animals are well looked after, loved, and cared for. We always have such a great time here and can’t wait to come back again. Highly recommend Halls Gap Zoo to anyone visiting the Grampians!

Was a great experience. You could easily walk around the entire zoo in 2 hours. Kids enjoyed feeding peacocks and the highlight being the golden lion tamarin and cheetah.

Highly recommend for a family or for those that want to see Australian animals (and others) up close. Definitely buy a packet out two of the feed.

A visit to Halls Gap Zoo is a total must when visiting Halls Gap as it’s such a beautiful special place. You get to interact with the beautiful free roaming kangaroos and deer which you get to feed by hand and you just buy that on your way in which is cheap too. The deer get a bit cheeky but they’re so super cute and fun! It has a wide variety of different animals and bird life, it’s especially great for the kids as it’s not a large zoo so you’re not walking around all day, but do see a lot of all types of animals. The staff are so very lovely and friendly and make you feel like part of their zoo family there. There’s also shows they put on and feeding the other animals which is easily booked. There’s never any huge lines to wait in so even if you don’t book your tickets it’s fine. It’s an amazing affordable time out but so hard to leave, I wouldn’t have left if I didn’t have to! Their prices are fair and the merchandise isn’t overpriced like all other zoos. I want to thank Halls Gap Zoo for their kindness and hard work xo
