- Minimum 13 years of age.
- Price does not include general admission but includes photos that we will email to you.
- All encounters are subject to availability.
- All participants must follow all instructions given by Halls Gap Zoo staff, failure to do so may result in a shortened session.
- Participants may be asked to cease the encounter at any time for whatever reason at Zoo staff’s discretion.
- Animals respond in different ways to different people and external factors, we cannot control this and experiences may vary.

I got to do this encounter on the weekend for my birthday. We drove 2 and a half hours to be there and it was worth every minute of the drive. The staff were so lovely, accommodating and informative during my encounter and made sure i really got to enjoy my experience. Seeing these beautiful animals up close was absolutely mind blowing and getting to feed them was even better. I was holding back the tears throughout my experience because it was just so surreal to get to be so close to the giraffes. I already cant wait to book my next experience and I have been raving about it to anyone that will listen. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who is thinking about doing it.. It is worth every cent.

We have just returned home from our first visit to the Zoo, having completed the Meerkat and Giraffe experiences. Cannot speak highly enough of BOTH of them – it was like being a kid at the zoo again! Full marks to the three keepers who facilitated the experiences – their love of the animals and commitment to ensuring that each person in the (very small) group had an amazing personal experience of the animals was what made the experience what it was. The first thing we did. when we got home was to book in again – next time red panda, wombats… and giraffes again!!! (Sorry rhino, the start times mean we will see YOU next time!!)

I had booked this encounter (Giraffe) with my parents. We were greeted by the friendliest zoo keepers and had ample time with the giraffes. There were two giraffes at the time and the younger one didn’t want to come over but the larger one did. I can’t believe how gentle and soft their mouths are when they take the food!! Definately doing this again!

Booked my mum and myself in as mum absolutely loves giraffes, and this encounter did not disappoint. The zookeeper was lovely and very informative, we got to feed and spend plenty of time with the giraffes, the photos also turned out perfect. We will 100% be booking this again when we come back
