Halls Gap Zoo News – November 2011

Animals Action

Exciting news in that one of Australia’s threatened species, the Spotted-tailed Quoll, has been busy raising a family of five young. Now on display in the entrance building are Ridge-tailed Monitors and Victorian Carpet Python.

Some of the animals have been on excursions this month including to David O Jones Mitre 10 birthday celebrations, Donald High School, Wycheproof and Stawell Shows, Dunkeld’s A Mosaic of Experiences, Taylors Gully Children Centre and Optus, Horsham.

Power Grampians Pyrenees Business Awards

We were very honoured in receiving two awards at the recent Business Achievement Awards in Halls Gap. We were the recipients of “Outstanding Contribution to Tourism” and “Outstanding Product or Service”.

This month we would like to thank Grant & Helen Thomas for their continued support. Check out some of Grant’s artwork in Halls Gap at the Kookaburra Restaurant and at Moco Gallery.
